Little Snowflake Notes

Today I thought I would show you these little snowflake cards that I made. They can be found in my shop. They are a folded 3x3 card with handmade matching envelopes. I used this fab red patterned paper and accented with a scallope circle embellishment. I stamped a dotted border on the tag and added a light blue snowflake which I accented with a tiny brown rhinestone and some glitter. I stamped the sentiment in dark brown ink and attached the scalloped circle with dimensional adhesive. I then handmade the matching white envelopes and added a little blue snowflake to carry the cards design over to the envelope. Enjoy your day.

Holiday Card Set

I made this set of holiday cards yesterday. I really love the bright green paper and thought it would make a nice Christmas card. As always, I added a punched border in white and added a dimensional scalloped tag. The holly leaves and berries were accented with a little ink to give them some dimension.  I finished the tag off with a dotted border and a piece of pretty ribbon. Inside is stamped to match.
 
 
 

Happy Happy Halloween!

I guess I should have a Halloween card to share but I rarely make Halloween cards so unfortunately, this card will have to do. This card was easy to create because I used some left overs from a scrapbook page I had finished. I just use the same colours and elements to finish the card. Paper is from GCD Studios and I used a circle nestabilties for the scalloped element. Heart is a Fiskars punch and I used PTI"s Borders and Corners Circle stamp set for the dotted circular frame and sentiment is from Heartfelt Basics. I wish you all a safe and happy halloween. My two year old daughter will be dressing up as Thomas the Tank Engine (I tried to get her to choose a princess costumer but it didn't happen! On the bright side my little guy will be able to wear the Thomas costume when he's bigger!)
 

A Little Birdie

For this card I embossed the background with a Qk folder. The birds and vines are from some Doodlebug stickers I received and I paired it up with a piece of patterned paper by K & Co. I made a decorative edge with an EK border punch and I used my favourite little label in purple to stamp the sentiment on (Bird of a Feather set, PTI). Have a great day.

Little Baby Giraffe Card

This is one of the cards that made it into the recycling bin yesterday morning. It's too bad I don't have enough supplies to make another one becuase I am going to a baby shower this weekend and the sex of the baby isn't known so this would have made a great neutral baby card. Stickers on this card are from Doodlebug Design and the patterned paper is by K & Company. I stamped the sentiment (Mega Mixed Messages, PTI) onto my fasvourite little label by Quickutz. You can't tell in the photo but I went and added glitter to the giraffe, flowers, bird and label for a subtle glittery effect, (so pretty.) Have a great day.
  

Sweet Little Thank You

When I created this card, I started first with the floral images from Piece of Cake and created the blue patterned strip. Next I used a piece of green polka dot patterned paper (which was actually headed for the recycling bin). I pulled out my favourite little label and continued the floral design and added a little thank you sentiment which I attached to my card base with foam squares. (This card has now gone into the recycling bin along with a whole bunch of others. As I wrote this post, my two year old knocked over my coffee and ruined ALL of the cards I've made in the last week.aaaggghhhh!) Even though I was mad, she was really cute and kept saying I'm Sorry. I let her back in my studio and she is now colouring happily at my desk beside me. Have a great day and remember not to sweat the small stuff...)

 

Hugs & Kisses

I created the background for this card with Sweet Love and With Sympathy (both sets from Paper Trey Ink). I stamped the images in Burnt Umber ink on Kraft cardstock. The flower was created from With Sympathy in Bordering Blue ink on Nautical Blue Lt Cardstock and cut out and adhered with foam squares for dimension. I threw in a little machine stitching on the polka dot strip and carried the polka dot themed through the rest of the card by incorporating a polka dot leaf. The label is also attached to the card with foam squares.

Butterflies made simple.

A quick and easy one. Background is embossed with swiss dots embossing folder and I punched the butterflies out of dark chocolate cardstock and mounted them on two circles of Lt Olive and Lt Denim cardstock. The sentiment is from It's a Celebration which I made some score lines into the background before embossing to leave a little area for the sentiment.

Christmas Gift Enclosure Cards (mini cards)

I made these little holiday mini cards with Trajan Monogram Edition (stamped in Noir Black) and the little ornament from Take a Bough. Very simple but cute! Cards measure 3.5 x 2 and these particular ones can be found in my etsy shop. Have a great weekend.
 

Leafy Trio All Occasion

I picked up some new Studio G stamps when I popped into Mike's this week and I fell in love with these two tiny little leaves stamps so I needed to create something with them. I have a lot of Studio G stamps (who doesn't?) so maybe I should challenge myself to use them more..... anyone care to join me? I used a small nesties and stamped the leaves in Bordering Blue  and Old Olive inks. The middle leaf is stamped in Cognac ink. (I think the colours give it a masculine feel to it....well if there wasn't a nice frilly border added to it.) I embossed the bottom Bark cardstock strip with a QK embossing folder and added a little frilly border. I finished the card off with a piece of my favourite ribbon.....
